Despite failing to progress into the semi-finals, Malawi Queens thriumped over England to claimed the fifth spot at the Fast5 Netball World Series in Auckland.

Malawi Queend beat England 34-32 at the Auckland’s Vector Arena on finals day in the play-off game for fifth.

Malawi went head-to-head with England and managed to reach for the neck in the tournament and finally beat beaten them twice.

Malawi Queens sharp shooter Mwai Kumwenda led the team with shift scores to repeat this round-robin victory over England.

“We’re so excited about this game because we lost four games and this is our second game to win. I’m happy for the girls and we played very well,” Mwai told Fast5 Netball series official website.

“We’ve had a good time in New Zealand and we enjoy this because it’s hard competition … it was tough out on court today.”

In the final, New Zealand were in a class of their own to despatch Australia 56-27 to win the FAST5 Netball World Series in Auckland on Sunday.
